Changing your Password

VCS Families,

As mentioned (Saturday), we will continue distance learning for the remainder of the school year. This is also a good time to remind students to secure their online accounts by changing their passwords.

To better ensure the safety and security of our Volusia County Schools students, all students should change their online password used to sign-in to digital resources, including VPortal. All students can conveniently change their password right inside of VPortal. To complete this process, please visit our webpage https://www.vcsedu.org/urgent-information for detailed instructions on how to change your student password.

Phase 2 ICP

4/14 ConnectEd - Mrs. Carbonell

Good afternoon Deltona High Students and Parents,

This is Mrs. Carbonell call regarding some important information:

By now, most of you are really becoming experts at working on your computers with your teachers.  You are doing a great job keeping up with lessons and assignments required for your courses.  Please make sure continue to keep up with each course so you do not fall behind in your required credits needed.

Phase 1 of the Instructional Continuity Plan (distance learning plan) ends this Wednesday, April 15th AND Phase 2 of the ICP starts this Thursday, April 16th.

The on-line learning will continue with your students and teachers as this is still the preferred method of instruction.  However, we realize that not all families have internet so we will have Phase #2 paper packets available at school for pick up for those students without internet.

Please note that we have ONE day for you to pick up your Phase #2 paper packets at our school.  This Thursday April 16th from 7:00 am – 10:00 am & from 3:00 – 6:00 we will be available at the dean’s office window for you to get these packets.  (the same place you picked up the first packets).    Don’t forget your student ID.

When you come to pick up your phase #2 you will be dropping off your completed Phase # 1 packets to be returned to your teachers.  Please make sure your name, alpha code and teacher’s name is written on each assignment turned in.

Any questions, please feel free to email us.

Have a great evening.

A Message from Mrs. Carbonell

Good afternoon DHS students,

I hope all is well with you and the family.  First of all,  I want to thank all the students and teachers for working very hard in making this digital learning plan work for you.

In order to continue improving our new structure it is very important that students and parents are checking your emails regularly.  There are very important messages that are sent to you to keep you updated on Deltona High information for grades 9 – 12.

Seniors:  Financial aid information, grading information and course information has been sent to you so please read this information carefully.  Also, seniors, please turn in your verification of all scholarship awards received and volunteer service hours to Mrs. Estelhomme by May 6, 2020.  This way you can be recognized during your Senior Awards

In addition,  we are in the process of finalizing senior plans for cap and gown pick up, senior awards night and graduation.  Please be patient as we are working with the other high schools and district office to do whatever we can to make these and possibly other senior activities happen.  I will keep  you posted once final decisions have been made.

One more announcement:

With Covid - 19 and social distancing disrupting many end of year traditions I am happy to share that the Deltona High yearbook is still available for purchase through the online school store located on the home page of DHSwolves.com.  The process of distributing and picking up the yearbook will be shared once the books arrive in May.  Act now as supplies are limited..

Keep following all our social media accounts including our website for regular updates.

We miss you all so much! Have a wonderful evening.
